Chuwells Challenge cancelled

Chuwells Challenge Cancelled for this year.

Unfortunately the Kamloops race, the Chuwells Challenge xc, has been cancelled.  Due to fire hazards in September they couldnt run their race on the scheduled date. With the rest of October mostly booked full with race weekends, the GKMA are going to hold off until next year for the race. Look for this race to be scheduled possibly for a late july date on the 2012 PNWMA calendar.

Here are the points standings up to date. With The Chuwells Challenge postponed and likely cancelled, there is only one more race for the 2011 season. The Tree Hugger in Castlegar.

PNWMA Points standings

PNWMA results and points standings from the Outback Bushwack and Overlander XC this past weekend.

Here they are! Points standings after 9 rounds of racing and the latest 2 races in Quesnel and Williams lake. There are some close battles for the overall points standings in the racers respective classes. Look for some intense racing from here on out!

Quick Note:

On the same weekend as the  Cat Scratch race in Squamish there is the Grand Fondo Bicycle race. it relays from Vancouver to Whistler and the road will have delays. From 8-11 am there will be no left turning on the highway. This is on the Saturday only. Shouldn't be too much of an issue.

 Here are the posters for the rest of the races for PNWMA ORS. Excluding The Chuwells challenge. Still Awaiting info. on this race. The Cat scratch is on September 11th, not April 17th so don't be fooled. Hope everyone saved some money over summer because  there is non stop offroad racing the rest of the season.

August update

Hello racer finatics,

The summer midseason racing break is nearing its end and the 2nd half is just around the corner. Here are the posters for  the August 27th and 28th Double header in Quesnel and Williams lake.  With being the middle of summer and fire season, spark arrestors are mandatory for these races. So, please make note, and think of our forests and riding areas. 

Also, if you havent glanced at the results page already, here are the updated points. these are the points calculated after 7 races.

Toasted Hare this weekend

The Toasted Hare is this weekend. For any one that is heading across the border to Hannegan to race, here is some vital information. A riders ( long course riders) are racing at 9:30 and B riders( short cours riders) are racing at 1:30 in the afternoon. They like to change it up so I think some may think that the A riders are racing in the afternoon. Get the word out  that that would be false. Here is a flyer for the race and their dirty dog hare scramble later in the season ( a non PN pointed race).

create your own personal PNWMA racer profile  now! First, if you haven't  already, register to pnwma.com  On the top right corner you will see a register button atop the search engine. Once you have logged on to pnwma.com as a user you will then  be aloud to make your own custom racer profile. Above the news updates column on the page you see will a "Fill out your racer profile" link. Click this and it will direct you to the racer profile page. You will be asked to fill out your name,  rider number (transponder #) , home location, date of birth, gender. The info box is for you to fill out what ever else you would like others to know. Sponsors, riding experience, class, anything else to do with riding or racing. Club you are associated with. etc.  Let's get to know everyone! We are a dirtbike family and let's make  off road racing blossom.
