Points race update

Point race update!

There are only 3 races to go apart of our 16 race trail racing series this year. Some classes already have mathematical overall winners, but some classes are close and racers are going to race hard to the last race at Merritt ( The bar Bender) to determine a winner!

In the Masters class, veteran of the sport Geoff Nelson is running away with the title again. He decided to take this year and stay in B.C. for racing and try and win our B.C. series for yet another time. Ryan Dey has been riding  great and can still see a light at the end of the tunnel. But, with one more win for Nelson, he will seal the deal and grab the title.  Prochnau of course is a contender, but with his busy racing schedule, he cannot make it to all of our Provincial events.

In the Expert class Colton Hall showed he is in a league of his own and completely dominated the Expert class. Just about winning every race he entered. He took the overall a few races ago and now looks forward to stepping it up and racing with the Masters for the remainder of the year , next year, and years to come!

vet Expert is still somewhat close but after last weekends double header and Daniel Jubbush taking the win both days, it looks like the vet Ex. title will be his. Brad Dunn and Craig Murray are close, but not close enough.

Senior Expert is very close to being Franklin Dahls. Not mathematically a winner yet. But he is on his way to becoming  the Old fast guy Champion!

The Intermediate class is not decided and there is a heated battle between Xander Reidegeld and Steve Geary. Tho, after last weekends races and Xander going 1-1, he is in full control now and has over a 50 pint lead.

The old guys of our sport, the Super Seniors. They are still racing, and racing hard. Title contenders Kim Black and Tom jorgensen are giving it all they have once again. Right now Tom is outfront.

Vet Am. it looks like Mr. Andy Marr has sole possession of the lead. With a 1-3 last weekend he has increased his lead but Chris Harwood and Brandon Akeroyd are definitely still in the mix.!

Junior Over is always competitive. Alex McCartney has being riding great all year and so has Samuel Molendjik. Alex had a narrow lead over Samuel, after this past his lead is now increased, but the points are close. This one is going to go down to the wire!

Senior Am. has been dominated by Mr. Steve Wheatley. He has over a 100 point lead now , so we can all say Congrats to frenchy as he is the Senior Am. Champ for this year!

Junior Under is close and Darin Marr tried everything he could to keep with Kurt Mortensen. The points gap is close between the two after last weekend, but with race throw aways at the end of the year, Kurt will be the champ. WIth 9 wins it gives him the title. Look for  great things out of these two in the future.

Last but not least, the women class. Bunney Bedey is in the lead, but I do believe that Tanya Grunsky still has a chance to take it. With less races, but great results, she might be able to catch her at the end of the year after throw aways.

Well that's it for now! Good luck to everyone at the last 3 rounds this year!
